Steam slumping sales show that PC gaming maybe on the downfall
Not many of the gamers I game with these days still dabble in PC gaming, sadly I admit many have crossed over to console only.
However I still know quite a few of them, but based off this deep dive analyzing of Steam data it looks like the writing is on the wall.
Check out what Mike Rose of publishing label No More Robots, details in his tweet:
I analysed Steam sales data from the last month, and found that:
• The average game is selling around 1,500 units, and making around $16,000, in its first year on sale
• That’s down 47% year-over-year
